The position at a glance

The role primarily focuses on Management Reporting activities and financial analytics for BNP Paribas in Canada.

This role involves a deep understanding of the business activity of BNP Paribas together with a solid knowledge of accounting and management reporting requirements. 

Main activities cover:

  • Performance Management reporting,
  • Forecasting, Budgeting and Financial Planning,
  • Business Partnering, 
  • Active contribution to any special project around process review, streamlining and automation

The Analyst will have a specific focus on the oversight of the expenses (staff cost, general expenses) and headcount monitoring, in order to provide senior management with the means to make informed business decisions to effectively achieve their strategic goals.

The analyst can also support the Canada finance projects by bringing data analytics expertise and assist with the automation and streamlining of Performance management reporting

In detail

  • Performance Management Reporting: Prepare and control monthly management reports (actual vs. budget, N‑1, forecast), analyze cost allocations, flag recognition issues, while enhancing reporting tools and controls.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in building, consolidating the Budgets, Forecasts and Strategic plans.
  • Business Partnering: Supply the internal clients with key financial indicators, cost‑trend analysis to enable data‑driven strategic decisions.
  • Project and initiatives: Contribute to specific projects/initiatives by leveraging data‑solution tools (e.g., Alteryx for automated data extraction/transformations and Power BI for interactive dashboards). 
  • Controls & Organization: Maintain comprehensive procedures, archiving and tracking of performance‑management outputs; contribute to the permanent finance control framework and ensure adherence to BNP Paribas policies.

Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday. 

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

  • Good knowledge of the financial and management accounting principles 
  • Willingness to learn and improve skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Knowledge of data solutions (SQL, Alteryx, PowerBI, PowerQuerry, Python) is a plus  
  • Knowledge of French and English
  • Graduation period of Spring 2027
