What is this position about?

  • Provide high-quality wealth planning services to clients of BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Asia.
  • Implement agreed strategy based on market approach proactively generating introductions from Relationship Managers through building confidence and trust in capabilities and service levels.
  • Ensure all relevant BNPP policies and principles are effectively applied in managing risks inherent in provision of Wealth Planning Services particularly risk to reputation and comply with WPS principles.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

Primary Role Responsibilities

Build and manage Wealth Management key relationships

  • In achieving a market focused philosophy to communications between Job Holder and respective RMs in markets, build specialized knowledge and expertise of specific markets allocated.
  • Direct support for various markets in BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Asia.
  • Present relevant training and regular reporting to RMs in specialized market(s).
  • Proactively build strong and trusting partnerships with RMs and other selected specialists to maximize potential of each Wealth Management relationship.
  • Attend and contribute at meetings, business development working groups etc. with RMs.
  • Internal presentations on Wealth Planning Services organization and plans as and when required.
  • Maintain careful watch on developments in specific market(s) allocated, communicate these efficiently and timely to Head of Wealth Planning Services WM APAC and also RMs and other Wealth Planning Services sites for action and briefing to clients where necessary.

Wealth Planning and Risk Management

  • Meeting and discussing with clients, RMs and professional advisers in developing relationship and solutions. Travel will be required regularly and in this regard BNP Paribas Cross Border principles and Country manuals must be respected.
  • Ensure all wealth planning solutions proposed are compliant Wealth Planning Services Policy & Procedures especially with regard to any solution which has tax optimization as key objective.
  • Maintain good professional relationships with other WPS Team members in Asia and other locations
  • Ensure Wealth Planning advice is independent and objective at all times vis-à-vis the business.
  • Support RMs objectives with regard to increase of AUM and net new cash while ensuring independent and objective advice to clients.
  • Direct contribution to BNP Paribas operational permanent control framework

  • Responsible for implementation of operational control policies and procedures in day to day business activities such as Control Plan.

  • Responsible for ensuring team members comply with regulatory and internal guidelines.

  • Responsible for reporting all incidents according to the incident management system.

Other contributions

  • Ensure knowledge of technical developments remains current.
  • Contribute to New Wealth Planning Services product development initiatives as required.
  • Maintain good lines of communication with Head of Wealth Planning Services WM APAC, attend meetings and discussions as and when required
  • Attend telephone conferences as and when required and in the absence of Head of Wealth Planning Services WM APAC.
  • Represent Wealth Planning Services at client and internal events as and when required.

  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Capability to work under pressure, hard working, patient, pleasant and good team spirit
