About the job

  • The Senior Project Manager main mission is to bring deep functional expertise on the business side, solid regulatory and compliance knowledge, and a good understanding of BNP Paribas’ culture and operational framework. Will be part of the DRIVE Americas team and support project requests originating from Global Markets Americas

Your Main Activities Are

  • Lead the full project lifecycle from initial framing through study, design, execution, and final completion, ensuring quality standards and required sign‑offs
  • Define project governance, establishing the appropriate governance model, obtaining stakeholder approvals, and setting clear decision‑making structures to drive the project toward success
  • Create and monitor detailed project plan, track critical path, manage dependencies and proactively address unplanned events or risks
  • Coordinate solution design and when applicable, consolidate the solution design, secure sign‑off from clients, IT architecture, and other key contributors, and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Drive the project team, working closely with the Project Sponsor and all contributors, such as front‑office, operations, IT and Finance to maintain continuous communication, alignment, and timely execution of governance routines
  • Take ownership of key analysis and actions, carrying out necessary project specific analyses and deliverables while keeping focus on the overall roadmap
  • Secure resourcing, collaborating with line managers and relevant governance bodies to obtain and confirm the staffing of the project team
  • Conduct post project reviews to capture lessons learned, identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous improvement
  • Maintain regular interaction with the Project Sponsor, Front‑Office, Operations, IT, Finance, and, as required, Compliance, Legal, and Tax teams to ensure comprehensive stakeholder alignment

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master´s Degree in Economics, Management, Finance or any related field 
  • Excellent communications skills in English, both written and oral
  • At least 5 years of Project Management Experience, leading end‑to‑end projects in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment
  • Knowledge of front‑office to finance processing chains and the underlying business logic
  • Knowledge of capital‑markets products and regulatory frameworks, such as MiFID, EMIR, Dodd‑Frank
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers across non‑hierarchical structures
  • Capacity to engage senior leaders and driving cross‑functional alignment
  • Capability to develop team performance, through coaching and mentoring
  • Problem‑solving with an analytical mindset for dissecting complex issues and delivering data‑driven recommendations
  • Ability to negotiate to resolve conflicts and keep projects on track
  • Capability to communicate, producing high‑impact reports and presentations for diverse audiences
  • Capacity to build relationships that foster trust and teamwork
  • Organizational skills with a delivery driven mindset, and meticulous in ensuring quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Capability to be independent, anticipate risks, and initiate corrective actions before issues arise
  • Ability to perform under pressure, maintain momentum, and demonstrate a strong, consistent work ethic, motivation, and resilience
