What is this position about?
• To provide mutual funds recommendations to all RMs & clients in the region.
• To provide effective communication of fund ideas via morning meetings, email recommendations, investment proposals, team meetings, and one to one meetings with clients.
• To review and monitor the performance of all fund recommendations
• To deliver prompt and accurate responses to RMs queries, as well provide a proactive follow up on recommendations
• To be actively working with RMs especially HK RMs and meet their clients for fund solutions.
• To work closely with other team members in the region to identify investment opportunities in order to meet business budget
• To meet internal procedures for new funds validation and promotion; and work with all parties of the Bank including Back Office to ensure smooth flow of business.
• Participate to BNP WM global Fund Squad and propose new solutions to improve the global selection
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
Primary Role Responsibilities
To achieve the following in accordance with Bank policies and guidelines:
• To achieve the overall funds budget for Asia with emphasis on achieving the budget for North Asia entity.
• To grow the AUM and increase the penetration of funds among RMs
• To develop fund recommendations with clear investment rationale
• To provide effective communication and good delivery of recommendations
• To deliver prompt and accurate responses to RMs queries, as well provide a good follow up on
recommendations
• To build teamwork among ICs and other product specialists as well as other internal units of the Bank
• To provide timely resolution of issues, and coordinating with Middle Office, LBS and RPC to ensure smooth workflow
• To assist to build an effective and efficient platform to support the promotion and maintenance of all funds (ie. long only funds, hedge funds products).
• To adhere to legal, compliance & regulatory standards set by the Bank
What is required for you to succeed?
• Strong analytical background, he or she must also possess strong marketing skills to actively promote fund recommendations
• Capability to work under pressure, possess good presentation skills and be able to drive the fund sales in North Asia
• At least 10 - 15 years working experience in private bank, fund management
• Strong analytical background required. CFA or CAIA certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in Private Banking or Asset Management is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese for client engagement.
