As part of BNP Paribas’s expansion of our APAC research capabilities, We are looking for an Industrials Research Analyst to join our equity research team in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Head of Industrials Research, APAC, the hired individual will cover a subset of companies across one or more cyclical industrial sub-sectors (e.g., commodities, base metals, transportation, etc.). The hired individual will work closely with regional and global colleagues to provide high quality and differentiated research, including coverage of relevant corporates in China, Japan, and South Korea.
Responsibilities
To assume primary coverage responsibilities on a subset of companies.
To provide a full suite of research products including thematics, sector summaries, and corporate access.
To work closely and collaboratively with regional and global colleagues to maximize client impact.
To develop and sustain a market-leading individual client franchise across all our target clients.
Contributions
To develop and maintain a strong individual client franchise across our more important clients.
To deliver high quality, differentiated and frequent research product, including sectoral.
To work with internal business partners to maximize the value of the research product.
To collaborate with regional and global research colleagues as needed.
To support and develop the research associates within the team.
To deliver differentiated corporate access.
To lead-by-example, especially with respect to conduct and adherence to all compliance frameworks.
Competencies / Qualifications
Candidates would be expected to have an existing strong client franchise within the industrials sector.
A research style which emphasizes differentiated but active fundamental company research within well-defined thematic frameworks.
Demonstrated experience of working with regional and global colleagues when developing research product and engaging with clients.
A proven ability to offer and deliver differentiated corporate access, particularly within China.
