The team

AlphaCredit is looking for a Product Owner to join our Benelux team in our offices in Brussels to lead our Business Growth squad.

The Business Growth Squad is part of the MyOnboarding Tribe that covers the businesses Automotive (loans & wholesales), Brokers & Retail in the Benelux. The Product Owner Business Growth is entitled to drive an agile squad of about 10 people from business and IT and reports to the Tribe Lead.

What is my mission?

The Business Growth Squad is responsible for the set up and improvement of the granting processes as far as the automative business, retail & broker business is concerned. Your mission is to ensure that the Customer/Employee/Partners value of the Product is steadily, frequently, and sustainably maximized. You also need to manage & maintain our IT assets so that business continuity is ensured.

Your Function 

What is expected from me?

I am responsible for managing the Product backlog of the Squad:

  • Based on the Product Vision and the input received through my contacts with the business stakeholders (dealers/seller, Zone Managers, Operations) I create a backlog consisting of Features and Stories.
  • In collaboration with the squad and the Scrum Master, I determine the value delivered by each Feature/Story and the effort needed to deliver each Feature/Story.
  • I do a value-based prioritization of the backlog.
  • I organize and animate refinement sessions with the Squad to make sure that all squad members understand what must be delivered and that the Features/Stories meet the Definition of Ready.
  • I support the squad to make sure that Stories in the sprint meet the Definition of Done.
  • I actively participate in the Life and the Ceremonies of the Teams I belong to (my squad, tribe), constantly sharing our Agile Values & Principles.

Who am I interacting with?

As a Product Owner, I belong to my Squad, and I interact with other teams to develop both our Products and our Expertise:

  • I work with my business Stakeholders to make sure I have a correct and complete view of their way of working and the challenges met by them.
  • In the Squad, I work daily with AnalystsDevelopersExperts & the Scrum Master in order to build and run the Product we are collectively accountable for;
  • In the Tribe, I work especially with the Tribe Lead, in order to provide him/her with the information needed to establish the Tribe Vision;
  • Within the Tribe, I work daily with the other POs in order to coordinate from an end-to-end Feature perspective;
  • I share best practices and concerns with other POs in the company within a Community of Practice.

Your Profile

  • You have knowledge of the automotive financial products.
  • You are familiar with an Agile Way of Working.
  • You are able to understand the needs of all stakeholders in sufficient detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • You have the ability to inspire others & generate people's commitment.
  • You are fluent in English (French and/or Dutch are a plus).
