CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

As integral part of Private Capital department at BNP Paribas, succursale de Luxembourg, Financial and Legal Reporting services are offered to clients to maintain administrative and legal requirements, to ensure high-level and prompt service delivery being compliant with laws and deadlines, in a context in perpetual changes. 

You will join the PC Financial and Legal Reporting Team as Reporting officer.

Overall mission:

  • Prepare the financial statements for all Private Capital entities (Funds, securitisation vehicles, general partners, holding companies…) in Lux GAAP, IFRS or other GAAPs
  • Act as main point of contact for clients for financial and legal reporting productions, develop and foster relationship with them; 
  • Define a timetable and liaise with the auditors, clients and other Private Capital teams
  • Apply internal procedures for the good governance of the reporting team

WHAT’S YOUR DAY-TO-DAY MISSION?

  • Ensure yearly and quarterly deadlines are planned ahead and duly met;
  • Respond to any queries linked to the financial statements during the audits
  • File the financial statements with the CSSF and on the eCDF platform
  • Prepare and file the legal reports with the CSSF and the BCL
  • Prepare the capital account statements
  • Coordinate the preparation, filing and payment of the subscription tax
  • Participate to the team organisation by taking initiatives and by being implicated in common projects
  • Manage client expectations by demonstrating awareness of the private capital industry;
  • Support other teams of the Private Capital department for any queries linked to the reporting activity
  • Stay informed about accounting standards and legal environment updates
  • Raise incidents and escalations, if any;

ARE YOU OUR FUTURE FINANCIAL REPORTING OFFICER? 

Professional experience and/or degree

  • Academic qualifications equivalent to a bachelor/master’s degree in law, business administration or finance;
  • Relevant experience in the fields of Financial Reporting or Accounting
  • Knowledge of private capital and Luxembourg company law is an asset (including financial vehicles, SICAR, SIF, RAIF).
  • Experience in Private Capital or Audit considered as an asset

Technical skills

  • Good knowledge of Private Capital investment funds, especially Private Equity, Infrastructure and Private Debt Structures;
  • Good knowledge of LUX GAAP Financial Reporting, for both Funds and Commercial Companies (eCDF)
  • Good knowledge of IFRS, US Gaap or consolidation considered as an asset
  • Good knowledge of Office tools (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Language skills

Fluent in English, other languages are an asset, particularly French.
