Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Performance Testing and Engineering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in performance testing, engineering, and analysis, with expertise in LoadRunner, APM tools, and scripting. The ideal candidate will have experience in onboarding new applications, creating performance test plans, and analyzing performance test results. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to act as a key driver in embedding AI into day-to-day practices and deliverables within their scope. He/she would need to mentor the team in on key performance Testing and engineering skills, take knowledge sharing session, do peer design and help team to improve team skill on performance engineering side.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Performance Testing and Optimization:
o Design, develop, and execute performance tests using LoadRunner to ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance.
o Identify and report performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.
o Collaborate with Tech and development teams to implement performance enhancements and optimize application performance, troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
o Analyze application performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
o Identify and automate recurrent tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
o Develop and implement automated scripts and tools to streamline performance testing and engineering processes.
- APM Tool Analysis and Performance Optimization:
o Use APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and database analysis tools like AWR and ADDM to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
o Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to track performance trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Analysis, Problem-Solving, and Knowledge Sharing:
o Analyze complex performance issues using various tools and techniques, including LoadRunner, APM tools, and database analysis.
o Develop and maintain knowledge articles, blogs, and presentations on performance testing and engineering best practices.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development and Automation:
o Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitLab to ensure seamless integration of performance testing and engineering.
- AI Embedment and Adoption:
o Act as a key driver in embedding AI into day-to-day practices and deliverables within your scope.
o Support peers in adopting AI tools and technologies.

Specific Qualifications:
o LoadRunner certification (good to have).
o ISTQB certification (Good to have).
Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)
Technical Skills:
o Performance testing tools: LoadRunner (Mandatory), JMeter (nice to have).
o Scripting skills: Strong scripting skills in LoadRunner tool (Mandatory).
o Programming languages: Java, Python, C/C++.
o APM tools: Dynatrace (Mandatory), AppDynamics
o Log analysis tools: Kibana / Opensearch (Mandatory) or Splunk.
o Performance Tuning: application architectures, JVM tuning, GC, Thread Dump Analysis.
o Database analysis tools: AWR, ADDM, or similar.
o CI/CD pipeline tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab.
o Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, or similar.
o Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar.
o Containerization technologies: Kubernetes, Docker or similar.
o Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, or similar.
