MQ Administrator

We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to join our newly created team in Poland and be a part of the Global Middleware Production team within CIB IT PRODUCTION.

The administrators of Middleware MQ will be responsible for offering the required performance of a very demanding service, with critical applications and dataflow depending on it. As a part of this role, you have to ensure a high availability environment for these services, that are considered as critical for the business.

MQ Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • MQ Software Product installation (configuration, packages, upgrades, fixpacks, maintenance, etc.).
  • MQ flows creation (MQ objects definition, etc.).
  • SSL knowledge (architecture, certs renewal procedure, etc.).
  • Pub/Sub topology and configuration.
  • Troubleshooting in MQ (Clients MQ, support DEV teams, etc.).
  • BlockIP config (whitelisting).
  • Plan and implement PROD changes and interventions.
  • Be a part of the on-call support service 24/7.
  • Use of MQ remote admin tools (i.e: Appwatch, MVMA, MQExplorer, etc.).
  • Usage and configuration of QPASA monitoring tool (BMC).
  • Solace technology basics.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • IBM MQ administration experience.
  • Expertise on high availability environments and Linux/Windows environments (advanced user skills. No admin skills needed).
  • Strong global infrastructure knowledge (Clustering, Storage, Network, OS and others).
  • Automation (scripting capabilities) and Ansible (or similar) knowledge.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of devops methodologies and cloud experience.
  • Costumer service orientated, team player, eager to learn, analytical mindset.
  • Openness for occasional travel to Madrid and
  • Experience of delivering strategic priorities within a strict timeline in production environment and support.
