Position Purpose
We need a competent and proactive candidate to fulfil the role of a Business analyst for the global markets trade processing department. The application concerned is a fully integrated real-time settlement system that covers the four big steps that a Back Office system need to do – Payments, Announcements, Confirmations, and Accounting. This application consists of a .NET based front end communicating with backend written in Pro*C, PL/SQL and Python. The Database is Oracle 19c. As the business is growing, new functionalities and features need to be incorporated which not only exceed user expectations but also meet the stringent performance and security requirements. A successful candidate would have a unique opportunity to be part of a global team located across multiple locations (Mumbai, London and Paris) to analyze & implement large scale changes. The role offers a great opportunity to understand and strengthen capabilities across the capital markets technology landscape.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
· Lead the requirement analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement documents are complete, concise, comprehensible and unambiguous.
· Communicate (verbal and written) with Back Office Users across geographies to gather and crystallize requirements.
· Elicit the requirement using use cases, scenarios, workflow analysis and produce business requirements / functional specifications.
· Manage requirement traceability matrix and track requirement status throughout the project.
· Assist in enforcement of Project deadlines, schedule and methodologies.
· Define and produce testing plan and participate in user acceptance testing.
· Suggest area of improvement in internal process along with possible solution.
· Balance technology and business issues and communicate appropriately with Business and technology experts.
· Effectively communicate project relevant information with management on regular basis.
· Manage requirement changes through effective use of change control mechanism.
· Should be able to perform data analysis with SQL and other organization tools.
· Liaise with Development teams to ensure accurate functional coverage and validate test scenarios. Carry out functional tests (with users if need be).
· Ensure all appropriate tests are of high quality and accuracy.
· Be available for Level 3 application support as and when needed by the Platform owner to investigate production issues and provide fixes/workaround to the L1 & L2 support team.
· Coordinate component releases in different UAT and end to end test environments.

Essential Skills (will be assessed):
· A minimum of 12 years of IT business analysis experience in the Settlements domain. (not restricted to FX).
· Strong understanding on Settlement domain from booking layer to back-office settlement system. Preferably experienced with in-house developed system.
· Advance knowledge and experience using MS Office and Visio.
· Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across functional and technical departments.
· Development of test scenarios and test cases, and testing activities necessary to assess the quality and completion of system implementations. Developing contingency plans wherever appropriate and required.
· Identifying opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
Nice to have skills (would be given preference): -
· Knowledge of SWIFT format.
· Experience with Agile Project implementation.
·Good understanding of processes followed as part of Level 3 support.
