Latam Structuring Intern

Main Responsibilities

  • Run pricing models and update parameters for interest‑rate swaps, FX forwards and commodity options.
  • Prepare valuation sheets and assist in drafting term‑sheet documentation.
  • Turn market data (rates, volatilities, spreads) into clear visual formats that support decision‑making.
  • Build concise, professional presentations for internal meetings and client pitches.
  • Analyse daily market rates, volatilities and spreads to provide accurate inputs for pricing and risk assessments.
  • Work side‑by‑side with the Sales team to understand client needs, contribute ideas for structured solutions and help prepare pitch material.
  • Gain exposure to real transactions, compliance procedures and the fast‑moving dynamics of Latin‑American capital markets while developing analytical, communication and teamwork skills essential for a career in structured finance.

Position requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of derivatives (IR swaps, FX forwards, commodity options).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros/VBA).
  • Familiarity with a programming/scripting language (Python, R, MATLAB, or C++).
  • Ability to work with market data, vol‑surface construction, yield‑curve bootstrapping, and spread analysis.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; strong Portuguese communication skills.
  • Proven ability to create clear, visually appealing presentations (PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
