Junior Specialist – Ownership verification in OTC Derivatives Middle Office
ABOUT THE JOB
The junior specialist role is responsible for performing detailed reconciliations of client positions and driving the resolution of any identified discrepancies. The position involves managing the end-to-end process of depositary certification, including the preparation of final files and justifications required for audit purposes. Key responsibilities also include supporting new client and product onboarding to ensure regulatory compliance, as well as monitoring email requests to maintain high service standards. Very good level of English is essential as this is the primary language used for daily communication within the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconciling and verifying Client/broker holdings of listed and OTC derivatives via automated platforms and/or manual reconciliation.
- Investigating discrepancies with teams across BNP Paribas group.
- Contacting internal clients in case of issues.
- Updating and setting up clients’ funds in reconciliation platforms.
- Analyzing and qualifying mismatches and dispatching them to the relevant teams.
- Answering all incoming requests from internal teams or clients.
- Actively participating in regular performance and group meetings.
- Prepare regular reporting based on the reconciliations performed.
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Fluent English speaking & writing.
- Experience in financial services.
- Good analytical skills.
- Strong attention to details.
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- OTC Derivatives product knowledge would be considered an advantage
