About Business line/Function:
IT Payment Services department, the worldwide reference for payments in the BNP Paribas Group. We are working on the many applications used worldwide using various technologies and working in Agile methodology.
Position Purpose:
This position is for Java developer for IT systems on Payments and Cash Management for the BNPP Group.
· Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
· Writing clean, functional code on Backend
· Technical Analysis to provide modification and enhancements
· Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
We will be working closely with our onshore team based in Paris as an extended team.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
· Design and develop components/applications on Java technologies with various frameworks as well as on micro services on strategic payments and cash management products.
· Work in an agile environment
· Provide support and help the team's junior developers to grow technically.
· Participate in agile rituals in an organization on the way to be "agile at scale",
· Interact and contribute with our developer’s communities of the IT Payments Services Department and more broadly of the IT sector within BNPP Paribas worldwide
Contributing Responsibilities

· Adhere to the standards and practices followed in the Project
· Communicate with the cross teams and perform the integration testing of the code developed
· Deliver and Deploy the unit tested code into the Non Production environments (DEV, IST, UAT, etc.)
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
· 4–6 years of experience with Core Java (Java 17+) and Advanced Java (Collections, Multi-threading, Serialization, and Memory Management).
· Deep expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices using JSON and XML.
· Proficient in persistence frameworks (JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, T-SQL) with a focus on data integrity and transactional consistency.
· Mastery of Git and Maven for streamlined development workflows.
· Experience with Unit testing frameworks and tools with rigorous approach to code quality and security scanning tools.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure rapid, reliable deployment in a regulated environment.
· Familiarity with utilizing AI tools for coding and testing, with a disciplined focus on the responsible and secure usage of AI to protect proprietary code and sensitive financial data.
· Good knowledge of Oracle
· Nice to have -Experience with Cloud platforms (specifically IBM Cloud), Docker, and Kubernetes
· Should have Experience in Angular frontend frame work
· Familiarity with Apache Kafka and event-driven microservices architectures for high-throughput, real-time data streaming
· Nice to have - understanding of API security protocols essential for Open Banking (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and mTLS).
Specific Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in IT, Computer related field or equivalent experience.
