Position Purpose: Drive the technical vision, architectural design, and high-level development strategy for IAM & C-IAM core IT platforms.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical roadmap and architectural vision for complex IT systems and platforms.
- Lead the design of scalable, high-availability distributed systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide expert-level guidance on programming best practices, conducting deep-dive code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Architect and implement robust APIs to facilitate seamless integration across business lines.
- Drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD automation, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Mentor and lead developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Evaluate and select new technologies, frameworks, and tools to modernize the technical stack and reduce technical debt.
- Collaboratively define technical specifications and translate complex business requirements into executable technical designs.
- Oversee the security posture of developed applications, ensuring compliance with GDPR, DORA, and internal group security policies.
- Act as the final escalation point for critical technical issues, leading root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Support the Product Owner in refining the backlog by providing accurate technical estimations and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps to optimize cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Helm) for maximum efficiency and resilience.
- Contribute to the definition of global IT governance standards for the Tribe.
- Participate in cross-functional committees to align technical strategies with the broader BNP Paribas digital transformation goals.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Specific Qualifications:
· Professional Experience: 15+ years of experience in IT software development with at least 6 years in technical mentorship and architecture.
· IAM Expertise: Proven track record configuring and scaling IAM solutions in production (≥ 2 years). IAM, SSO, or security engineering with a focus on SAML/OIDC implementations.
· Design Expertise: Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications from scratch.
· Programming Mastery: Ability to write production-ready, high-performance code and solve complex algorithmic challenges.

- System Design: Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Design, Scalability patterns, High Availability, Distributed Systems
