Position Purpose

Be a HR Business Partner at local level, and provide, in her area of expertise, value-added advice to serve Business/Function strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

STRATEGY:

Ø  Be the guardian of both HR strategy and alignment of Business needs.

Ø  Understand business/function line’s strategy and keep up to date with their organization, products, and HR needs

Ø  Strive to become a trusted partner of business/function line(s):

Ø  Provide general HR advice and support to the business line(s)

Ø  Assist with workforce planning

Ø  Maintain a general knowledge of BNP Paribas and CIB (and IS, where relevant) strategies

Ø  Relay Group and local HR policies

Ø  Assist with the development and implementation of sound local HR practices

Ø  Contribute to promote specific HR initiatives

RECRUITMENT:

Ø  Understand the Budgeted Headcount in own business areas

Ø  Have regular follow up meetings with the recruitment team and keep abreast of the recruitment in one’s areas

CAREER DEVELOPMENT:

Ø  Know managers and staff within scope (background, skills, motivations …),

Ø  Contribute in identify Top Talents, key people, Graduates,

Ø  Conduct regular career development interviews (feedback memo for every interview).

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

Ø  Facilitate internal transfers, leaves of absence (maternity, long service leave…), retirement and exit processes (including exit interviews) for employees in scope,

Ø  Carry out the appraisal process to ensure timely delivery

Ø  Collate training requests in appraisals and liaise with L&D to provide adequate training. Support implementation of local training,

Ø  Contribute to the Permanent Operational Control Plan and contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System.

Ø  Implement the PIP process as required for the relevant cases.

 COMPENSATION:

Ø  Participate in the annual Compensation Review Process (CRP)

Ø  Contribute to data surveys as appropriate

Ø  Ensure reporting on bid-backs and termination packages.

Ø  Provides inputs for internal salary grids

Ø  Manage the outbound expat process in coordination with the Expat COE

 EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:

Ø  Proactively advise the managers in team development

Ø  Challenge managers; support managers in HR processes

Ø  Know perfectly employee profile

Ø  Advise employees on personal development and career path

Ø  Ensure Consistency between business requirements and employee needs/motivations

Ø  Handle employment relations, performance management and disciplinary issues,

Ø  Assist with communication initiatives to employees and managers

COORDINATION WITHIN HR:

Ø  Manage/contribute to HR transversal projects/Tasks

Ø  Initiates or Delivers on Delegated HR Projects as required

Ø  Ambassador of HR Community

Ø  Contribute to the flow of information within HR (bottom up and lateral)

INDUCTION AND ONBOARDING

Ø  Ensures completion of joining formalities for new employees and a smooth on boarding

Ø  Coordinates and teams up with L&D team to deliver on the On boarding presentations and programme.

HR GOVERNANCE

Ø  Ensure all reference checks are clear and liaise with respective employee/manager in case of non-compliance

Ø  Disciplinary cases

Ø  Follow up and implementation of any BNPP specific compliance, statutory or legal requirements (for eg gratuity nomination)

HR POLICIES COMMUNICATION & EDUCATION AND EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK

Ø  Supports senior HR manager in Identifying, developing and utilizing different channels of communication to educate employees to ensure comprehensive awareness and understanding of HR Policies and Procedures.

Ø  Establishes means of gathering employee feedback to understand employee’s issues and concerns, and impact and acceptability of HR Policies.

Expat SPOC

Ø  Lead the expat activities for GSO

Ø  Connect with the  COE India and carry out the necessary activities for GSO.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Ø  Understanding of local labour law

Ø  Understanding of HR processes and procedures

Ø  Understanding of business or function

Ø  To be strong in counselling/counselling for personal transformation enabling participants to turn conflicts into creative collaboration
