At BNP Paribas Fortis, our HR Reward team in Brussels plays a central role in shaping a reward strategy that is fair, competitive, and fully aligned with the Bank’s objectives. As part of a team of 15 specialists, you will help design and manage remuneration, pensions, and benefits, while ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. KEY OBJECTIVES
- Design and deliver a reward strategy that supports the Bank’s business and HR goals and that ensures internal equity, market competitiveness and compliance with Belgian and international regulations and fiscal rulings, while identifying and managing potential risks.
- Set and oversee policies across the Bank for pay, pensions, and long-term incentives.
- Build strong relationships with social partners (such as employee representatives), internal stakeholders, and external providers.
- Lead and develop a team of experts by giving regular feedback, empowering colleagues, and fostering professional growth.
- Provide strategic advice to management on reward trends, cost implications and policy adjustments
- Maintain and improve tools and processes supporting compensation processes
MAIN TASKS
- Design, adapt & simplify the Bank’s reward and pension, ensuring it remains aligned with BNP Paribas Fortis’ overall objectives and responsive to internal and external changes.
- Work closely with HR Social colleagues to ensure smooth social dialogue and constructive relationships with both internal and external employee representatives.
- Inspire and support a team of specialists, balancing immediate operational needs with a shared long-term vision for reward strategy.
- Lead the annual salary review, bonus and incentive processes in coordination with HR Business Partners and Finance.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree with strong strategic, analytical, financial, and cross-functional skills (or equivalent professional experience).
- At least 15 years of proven experience in reward management, including a solid grasp of financial aspects and compliance requirements.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- In-depth knowledge of remuneration regulations in both the Belgian and European context.
- Extensive expertise in HR reward management, including:
- Experience with cafeteria plans (flexible benefits schemes).
- Ability to optimise Belgian tax rulings to design efficient reward packages.
- Advanced analytical skills to navigate the complexity of the reward environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with readiness to work with additional specialised tools.
