Position Overview:
1. Management of PAR funds as well as General Fund assets (AuM in excess of NTD 25 billion / 750 M€ and rapidly growing)
o Missions
? Steer and justify the tactical asset allocations for each fund via appropriate quantitative analyses, within the limits of the Strategic Asset Allocation guidance and the Investment Policy guidelines, for approval by relevant stakeholders and Investment Committees.
? Monitor tactical asset allocation benchmark performance versus strategic allocation benchmark performance and update tactical asset allocation proposal and justification as often as necessary, consistently with financial market evolutions and market intelligence updates, for approval by relevant stakeholders and Investment Committees.
? Design and setup strong PAR/GF investment market intelligence platform to make sure that PAR/GF tactical investment strategy remains competitive relatively to local investment market practices rolled out by other local lifers
? Monitor BNPPAM investment performance against tactical asset allocation benchmark performance and challenge BNPPAM investment management decisions to maximize investment performance within the limit of allocated risk envelope
? Design and formalize tactical investment process and procedures consistently with above initiatives.
? Produce and update relevant presentation material and contribute to the coordination and animation of the Investment Committee under the supervision of the head of Investment & ALM.
? Produce and present investment and risk monitoring reports to stakeholders (Cardif Vie TW, RO, HO, BNPPAM) within relevant committees in compliance with regulations and company requirements
? Take in charge the production of ad-ho studies on Investment and tactical ALM perimeter and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders on request
o Interaction with BNPPAM, HO investments, finance, ALM and other stakeholders
? Daily monitor and steer BNPPAM to make sure investment manager understands issues at stake and Cardif Vie TW constraints and addresses them appropriately, with the right level of priorities and in due time. Maintain and foster constructive/collaborative relationship with BNPPAM. Support formalization of issues/challenges when appropriate, lead discussions with BNPPAM to identify best possible remediation actions and follow up on timely implementation
? Produce, maintain and update investment guidelines as often as necessary for each segregated fund of Cardif Vie Taiwan, as well as associated IMA to frame contractual relationship with BNPPAM, in collaboration with BNPPAM and HO investments.
? Work in collaboration with ALM team to translate long term ALM constraints into operational guidelines that can be documented in the investment guidelines and constantly bridge the gap between the tactical/short term and strategic/long-term asset allocation guidelines.
? Closely monitor short term asset and liability cash-flows to optimize cash position management, in collaboration with finance and BNPPAM
? Ensure close coordination of financial instruments disposal with finance, to remain within the limits of financial envelopes budgeted into financial trajectories. Support finance on a case-by-case basis into explaining to stakeholders how investments operations will unfold along the year in connection with budgeted financial trajectories.
? Contribute with finance and BNPPAM in optimizing the relation and processes setup with the custodian
o Ensure management of PAR/General Fund portfolio of the company remains compliant with regulation, governance and delegation
o Constantly optimize investment processes to maximize efficiency under the constraint of resources and means allocated and relentlessly challenge status quo
2. Managerial responsibilities
o Build up strong GF Management & tactical steering team to support PAR/GF fund growth and establish best-in-class PAR/GF management platform across lifers.
o Identify and grow future investment & tactical ALM leaders
o Grow strong, collaborative and constructive relationships with all stakeholders
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in the actuarial, ALM, quantitative investment sector, e.g. insurance company or investment bank, etc.
2. Proven English skills in writing and reading
