Head of DEC Operations, Asia-Pacific

What is this position about?

Derivatives Execution and Clearing (“DEC”) is a business under both Global Markets and Securities Services. The Head of DEC Operations Asia-Pacific manages the derivatives clearing operations for the entire Asia-Pacific region, with the Client Services, Clearing, Process & Control, Change & Design teams reporting to this role.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

Primary Role Responsibilities

•    Responsible for managing and supporting the operation teams in Asia-Pacific, in order to support the Derivatives Execution & Clearing (DEC) business in Asia-Pacific. 

•    Work in tandem with our global teams across different regions, in order to deliver the best service to our clients. 

•    Define governance and operating model for the operation teams in Asia-Pacific, aligned to the global governance and global operating model. 

•    Contribute to building a strong and respected management team through constructive and regular involvement throughout the year. 

•    Maintain and execute training plans within the teams for the group to meet its objectives. 

•    Work in sync with our offshore platform (e.g. ISPL), in order to deliver the objectives of the business. 

•    Promote and roll out appropriate governance with different stakeholders, like Business/OPC/DRIVE/Finance/IT. 

•    Be responsible and manage the budget defined for DEC Operations in Asia-Pacific. 

•    Representation DEC Operations in the region for legal, compliance and regulatory topics. 

What is required for you to succeed?

•    Bachelor degree or above in Business, or a related field 

•    Minimum 7 years of relevant experience 

•    Strong experience of Exchange Traded Derivatives products, and familiar with regulatory concepts 

•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

•    Excellent stakeholder management 

•    Good experience in managing a team 

•    Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
