Position Purpose
Global Markets IT eCommerce & eTrading Fixed Income team in Singapore is hiring an experienced IT project manager who will drive a number of IT projects related to FX and Rates asset classes for Front Office sponsors.
The candidate will focus on delivering IT solutions for FX and Rates traders, typically allowing the bank to shift towards digital "e-trading" solutions in various locations. This is a regional IT Project Manager role covering Asia Pacific (APAC). A strong experience as project manager is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an interface/SPOC for FO sponsors on electronic trading scope for FX and Rates products
- Coordinate actions and ownership for project tasks across multiple stakeholders (External providers, IT Development teams, Organization and Control team, Operations teams, Compliance, etc…) to ensure steady progress and reporting against timelines
- Produce project plan, deliverables, solutions and roadmaps for IT systems in scope of projects
- Liaise with Front Office users/traders to produce business specifications and to design solutions that leverage on in-house systems
- Liaise with Middle Office and/or Back Office business analysts or expert to ensure Front to Back viability of the new solutions
- Manage and escalate risks and issues proactively
- Coordinate development, validation and release in Production of enhancement delivered by in –house development teams for FO IT systems
Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
This role requires meeting Front Office expectations in the fast paced and fast thinking environment of electronic trading. Understanding the mindset of traders is essential for this role. The candidate will be directly interacting with Front Office sponsors in APAC region.
A great deal of autonomy and self-organization is required to successfully deliver solutions and projects that will make a real difference for trading desks.
Candidates should have/be able to demonstrate :
- High level of autonomy and confidence to interact directly with Front Office business sponsors or users in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets Front Office trading activities ideally with an experience of FX or Rates products.
- Strong experience as an IT project Manager in dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Be creative, innovative, pro-active and business oriented in terms of finding solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written. Interaction with and reporting to regional managers
