Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) drives the global client strategy and senior relationship management for selected strategic financial institutions, maintaining and building strong relationships with C-suite level individuals, with a strong holistic awareness of clients’ interest, ambitions and constraints. The FIC team acts as super connectors across the Bank, bringing BNP Paribas solutions and experts together to address clients’ strategic issues, leveraging the full range of capabilities that the Group has to offer to CIB, as well as at CPBS and IPS, to facilitate their clients’ business.

About this opportunity

We are looking for an Intern (6 months full time) to the Nordic FIC team to support the team (RMs) in the management and development of relationships with Nordic Financial Institutions. You will primarily work closely together with the Associate in the team.

The focus of the FIC team in the Nordics is to develop, maintain and drive new business opportunities across all BNPP divisions and products in a risk-aware manner. The team today is covering the Nordic countries out of Stockholm with a total of 5 team members and in addition a broad team of stakeholders.

The Role

Your primary responsibility will be to support the full FIC Nordic team and additionally the KYC team in their daily tasks linked to the portfolio of clients covered by the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • KYC: Ensure that KYCs are in place and up to date for all clients that are in scope together with the central FIC KYC team. You will support the whole client-lifecycle tasks including onboarding/offboarding and recertifications. You will work closely with Due Diligence and Compliance officers.
  • Credit risk: Work closely together with FIC credit analysts to ensure Annual Credit Reviews and transaction requests are processed in a timely manner.
  • Legal: Coordinate with business and legal teams for trading-related documentation, such as ISDA/CSA.
  • Client planning: Support the team in the preparations for client meetings, including drafting client presentations and pitchbooks for both internal and external use.

Your Profile

  • Ongoing academic degree with an excellent track record.
  • You are curious, positive, have an analytical mindset and a real interest in the financial markets, and enjoy having diverse working day including numerical and administrative tasks.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Curiosity about AI or data science concepts and how they might be used to improve our work.
  • You appreciate working on projects with colleagues from different backgrounds and countries where you will have the opportunity to challenge your analytical skills, working agility and resilience.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.
