Fees & Services Control Specialist

Requirements

    • Relevant Bachelor degree or higher in Finance/ Economics/ Business,
    • Experience in the field of Asset Management/Finance/Fees
    • Proven work experience as a Fees and Services Control officer or similar role
    • In-depth knowledge of the asset management sector and specifically of funds and institutional clients fee structures
    • Good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of French
    • Experience in the use of fee-related IT systems.
    • Good knowledge of basic IT tools (MS Office, etc) 
    • Ability to work in an international environment, both independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to respond to situations using rational decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. 
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal,
    • Efficient time management and organizational skills 
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies independently

Responsibilities

  • Management Fees control - Funds
    • Control the management and other fees calculations performed by the Fund Administrator for the French funds
    • Liaise with the Fund Administrator and the Depositary Bank on anomalies detected in the above fee calculations
    • Control the financial delegation fee invoices received from other BNPP AM investment centers or external financial managers
    • Liaise with counterparties on anomalies detected in the above invoices
  • Management Fees calculation - Funds
    • Calculate of the financial delegation fees payable in relation to French funds of which the financial management is delegated to BNPP AM investment centers (application of BNPP AM transfer pricing policy)
    • Calculate of the financial delegation fees payable in relation to French funds of which the financial management is delegated to external financial managers
  • Management and Rebates Fees calculation – Institutional clients
    • Calculate the management fees receivable from institutional clients (discretionary portfolio management and investment advice clients) and generate the related invoices
    • Calculate the rebates payable to institutional clients and generate rebate statements
    • Calculate the financial delegation fees payable in relation to institutional clients of which the financial management is delegated to BNPP AM investment centers (application of BNPP AM transfer pricing policy)
  • Fees control – Institutional clients
    • Control the financial delegation fee invoices received from other BNPP AM investment centers
    • Liaise with counterparties on anomalies detected in the above invoices
  • Accounting production
    • Provide accounting team with monthly accruals for management fees receivable and financial delegation fees payable (funds)
    • Provide accounting team with monthly accruals for management fees receivable and rebates payable (institutional clients)
    • Review/approve financial delegation fees invoices in the Oracle Cloud accounting system
    • Follow up on aged fee related invoices
  • Business partnering
    • Active liaising with the Head of Fees and Service Control and within the Finance team
    • Prepare ad hoc analysis on request of Finance or Business
    • Liaising with the Business about funds and institutional clients fee related questions (eg new product set up, client queries etc)
  • Systems and data management
    • Centralize internal and external documents (Prospectus, Investment Management or Advisory Agreements with institutional clients, financial delegation contracts etc) from different teams (Product Marketing, Legal, Fund Administrator etc) and ensure correct set up in the dedicated fee control tool or other Finance tools
    • Familiarize with specific product management and legal databases (Cosmos, Flowr, DNT, etc),
    • Contribute to the implementation and/or maintenance of all fees and services related financial systems in order to ensure accuracy and the high quality of data and reports
  • Permanent Control
    • To ensure the implementation, the full adherence to and the maintenance of a permanent control environment relating to the Fees and Services Control activities as required by BNPP AM and BNPP Group standards and policies.
