About this opportunity

Join the Corporate Coverage team in Denmark as a Coverage Analyst. This opportunity offers the right candidate a great career start, an excellent insight into the global financial world, opening a wide range of career opportunities across the group.

What you will do!

As a Corporate Coverage Analyst, you will support the commercial and credit teams in the day to day management of our client portfolio, applying the bank’s standardized credit, commercial and KYC procedures to ensure that all marketing and execution materials meet BNP Paribas’ high standards of quality and compliance. What truly sets this role apart is the international exposure;  you’ll collaborate with clients and colleagues across more than 60 countries, gaining a front row seat on multi regional transactions. You will be a fundamental part of the Corporate Coverage business model by taking on a key role in three dimensions:

•    Credit expertise: Monitor the overall risks and the credit process on a portfolio of Large Danish Corporates and subsidiaries of foreign large corporates, (when applicable) preparation of annual reviews and ad hoc credit requests. This includes operational, financial and ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) analytical skills and coordination of input from various stakeholders to ensure reviews and transaction requests are processed in a timely manner prior to sign-off by the relevant delegation holders.

•    Commercial: Support the Bankers in the development of the client relationships through activities such as preparation of client action plans, strategic business reviews including research and capital structure analysis/modelling. As a Corporate Coverage Analyst, you should proactively and reactively interact with internal parties under the supervision of the Bankers to effectively deliver on all tasks, with the aim of developing into having a client facing role supporting the Banker on the client portfolio.

•    Compliance: Ensure that account maintenance, Know Your Client (KYC) recertification, onboarding of new clients and entities are done in a timely fashion and in respect of all regulatory requirements, collaborate with Due Diligence and Compliance Officers and support Bankers in steering the KYC for their client portfolio.

Relevant experience and requirements

•    You hold a relevant master’s degree with strong academic results with 1-2 years of working experience which can include relevant student/intern positions.

•    You are ambitious, willing to learn, outgoing, positive, have analytical mindset and a genuine interest in the financial markets and work in a structured way with a focus on quality, details and deadlines.

•    You thrive working on projects with colleagues from different backgrounds and countries where you will have the opportunity to challenge your analytical skills, working agility and resilience.

•    You possess excellent communication skills in English and elementary skills in Danish.

•    You possess a sound knowledge of the Danish and broader Nordic corporate market.
