is looking for candidates for the position of:

Chief FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Arval Competence Centre Warsaw (“ACCW”) supports onboarding activities of several entities of Arval in the process of selecting and managing the risk of the prospect and existing clients and suppliers.

The person employed in this position reports directly to the General Manager Arval Competence Center. The main responsibilities on requested position are as follows:

  • Build and manage a Finance team and financial processes.
  • Ensure the implementation of a strategy designed to grow the Competence Centre activities in the area of responsibilities.
  • Implementation of Permanent Control, Compliance programs and identification of major operations risks finance related, control plans and when relevant internal and external audit recommendation, closure.  
  • Ensure overall delivery and quality of the settlement with the countries being in ACCW scope in cooperation with ACCW Directors.
  • Fulfill financial controlling, provide reliable financial information and activity report to the top management, to Arval and the Board, in line with the BNP Paribas and Arval rules, within agreed timescales accordingly to required internal standards and legal requirements.
  • Follow up financial planning and budgeting process: coordinate preparation of yearly budget and quarterly forecast, ensure budget and forecast are realistic and well presented, ensure follow up the results and cost versus budget, check and control spending on general express, identify process improvements and potential reduction of costs, maximize the value and cost effectiveness.
  • Reviews analyses of costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress of the processes toward stated goals and objectives in cooperation with ACCW Directors.
  • Execute pricing management in compliance with the Arval policies and procedures.
  • Provide internal assistance to General Manager and all other Departments and Functions in ACCW, act as a consultant to the business and challenge existing practices to support decisions making, play active role in defining ACCW strategy. 
  • Keep regular contacts and cooperation with Finance representatives in countries being in scope of ACCW
  • Keep contacts and cooperation with Arval Poland in all finance related areas
  • Report financials and monitor adequate execution of costs
  • Determining finance methodologies and participating in the creation of internal guidelines 
  • Ensuring the effective functioning of the internal control system
  • Coordinating cooperation with auditors
  • Following the strategy outlined in collaboration with the supervisor

We expect from candidates:

  • Educational background: Master’s degree, preferred  within  Economy, Finance or a related field
  • Technical and analytical experience: 
    1. experience in managing areas related to finance, regulatory, at least  minimum of 5 years of experience in finance related area
    2. previous managerial experience within Shared Service Center environment and / or BNPP / Arval is highly desirable.
  • Language skills: fluency in spoken and written English
  • MS Office, MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Ability to work with and implement relevant regulatory requirements and best practices;
  • Risk management skills: in-depth understanding of risk management principles and practices, including the ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks, and establish effective controls;

  • Strong influencing  and negotiation skills to work with internal stakeholders and senior management
  • Experience in working in an international environment, with a focus on monitoring and improving the efficiency and quality of services across various divisions

  • Quick adaptation to changing environments
