Position Purpose

Corporate Banking support for Corporate Coverage Group as an associate RM. 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Corporate Coverage Associate is a junior & senior level position responsible for assisting Senior Relationship Manager and the Coverage team and providing corporate banking services to local corporate clients.  With a variety of comprehensive corporate banking products, the Associate will assume a coordination and supporting role for the RM to achieve the team budget and goal while complying with the bank's internal compliance and regulatory requirements under a high level of code of conduct.
  • Performs client due diligence in line with internal compliance and regulatory procedures and necessary documentation.
  • Conducts client monitoring to identify any potential risk factors and ensures the client information are always up-to-date. 
  • Committed in supporting the clients in a timely manner with the highest standard - liaise with product expert, credit analyst, compliance, legal, operation, global teams across the region.
  • Supports RM to make an assessment whether starting a new relationship or maintaining an existing relationship with client is appropriate, in respect of credit, reputation and the money laundering/terrorist financing/sanctions risks.
  • Learns to originate deals and manage the client's relationship by understanding BNP Paribas' business goal and strategy.
  • Proactively understands and ensures to comply with internal procedure & policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Supports client marketing and relationship management activities.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Minimum 2-3 year of relevant experience in a financial institution or in a corporate with experience in supporting and/or executing corporate banking transactions. 
  • Degree in Economics, Business administration, Finance, etc. is preferred but not compulsory.
  • A good team player with a strong sense of entrepreneurship and positive attitude.
  • Committed to the objectives of the team.
  • Agile, flexible and adaptable.
  • Open to praise and criticism. 
  • Required language skills: Fluency in English and Korean
