Job Title: Assistant Manager – KYC Training Academy

Department: ISPL CEFS KYC Operations

About Business line/Function: 

The KYC Due Diligence team in ISPL is responsible for the Preparation of files due for periodic reviews (Recertification) for existing customers and (Onboarding) for new clients of BNP Paribas across multiple countries across APAC, EMEA and America. It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver KYC training programmes (classroom, e‑learning, webinars) for front‑office, compliance and operations teams.
  2. Design curriculum and training materials (presentations, case studies, quizzes, SOP guides) aligned with global BNP Paribas KYC policies, local AML regulations and guidelines.
  3. Conduct needs‑analysis and skill‑gap assessments to tailor training content to different business units, client segments and risk‑rating levels.
  4. Facilitate interactive workshops and “train‑the‑trainer” sessions, ensuring participants acquire practical knowledge on customer due‑diligence, enhanced due‑diligence, risk assessment, sanction screening and periodic reviews.
  5. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through post‑session assessments, KPI tracking (e.g., completion rates, knowledge scores, audit findings) and continuous improvement recommendations.
  6. Collaborate with compliance, risk and business line stakeholders to incorporate regulatory updates, new product launches and emerging typologies into the training syllabus.
  7. Maintain a central repository of KYC training documentation (templates, FAQs, regulatory bulletins) and ensure version control in line with the firm’s knowledge‑management standards.
  8. Act as a subject‑matter expert for internal queries on KYC standards, providing timely clarification and guidance to staff and managers.
  9. Support onboarding of new hires by delivering compulsory KYC induction covering policies, procedures and system usage (e.g., AML screening tools).
  10. Participate in internal audit and regulatory examinations, supplying evidence of training delivery, attendance records and competency assessments.
  11. Stay current on Global AML/KYC regulatory developments (e.g., Regulatory AML circulars, FATF recommendations) and recommend necessary curriculum updates.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of Permanent Control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities.

Active participation in regular review of operational procedural changes /requirements during processing functions / staff meetings  

Active participation in Projects / System Changes / UAT / new system implementation when required.

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 -7 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in management, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience.

• Prior experience in similar domain.
