Job Title: Assistant Manager – KYC Data Quality

Department: ISPL CEFS KYC Operations

About Business line/Function: 

The KYC Due Diligence team in ISPL is responsible for the Preparation of files due for periodic reviews (Recertification) for existing customers and (Onboarding) for new clients of BNP Paribas across multiple countries across APAC, EMEA and America. It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

The Data Quality Officer is the first‑line owner of the Issue & Management of Remediation (IMR) process for KYC data‑quality incidents across all BNPP entities. Working from the GQM central team, the DQA centralizes, assigns, tracks, escalates and closes data‑quality issues, liaising daily with regional KYC Due‑Diligence teams, IT, and the KYC QARC. The role is pivotal in turning raw data‑breaks into actionable remediation plans, ensuring compliance, and protecting the Group’s risk‑profile

Centralize data‑quality issues

• Monitor the IMR log/dashboard ( refreshed weekly) to capture new data breaks. <br>• Maintain a master register of all open issues.

Assign & follow‑up issues

• Allocate each issue to the appropriate KYC Due‑Diligence Team or stakeholder.

• Conduct root‑cause analysis (IT feed bugs, manual data entry errors, SOP gaps, FSO guideline mis‑alignment).

• Perform impact assessments (risk, regulatory, financial).

Run Monthly Operational Committee

• Organize and chair the Monthly Operational Committee with regional KYC contacts.

• Present status, trends, and escalation items.

Coordinate remediation tasks

• Use the IMR tool to track remediation progress.

• Consolidate feedback from DD teams, IT, and other stakeholders into a single action plan.

Escalation management

• Identify when an issue exceeds agreed‑upon thresholds and trigger the appropriate escalation route (regional leads, IT governance, risk‑compliance).

Close & communicate resolved issues

• Verify that root‑cause fixes are implemented and validated.

• Officially close the issue in IMR and circulate closure notices to all impacted parties.

Provide remediation feedback to QARC

• Feed BAU remediation updates into the KYC QARC (Quarterly Ad‑hoc Review Committee).

• Contribute to QARC’s KPI reporting and continuous‑improvement recommendations.

Continuous improvement of the IMR process

• Propose enhancements to the IMR workflow, dashboards, and reporting templates.

• Document SOPs and training material for new DQA hires.

3️⃣ Required Skills & Qualifications

Domain expertise

Deep knowledge of the KYC lifecycle, regulatory expectations (AML, FATF, local CTF), and BNPP’s internal KYC policies.

Technical proficiency

Expert‑level Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, array functions, Power Query, pivot tables) + VBA for automation of data‑quality checks.

Data visualization

Proven ability to design interactive Power BI dashboards (data‑modeling, DAX, custom visuals) that convey issue trends to senior stakeholders.

Data management

Strong capabilities in data cleansing, structuring, and handling large‑scale datasets

Analytical thinking

Ability to parse complex data patterns, perform root‑cause analysis, and turn findings into clear, data‑driven remediation actions.

Communication

Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to regional operations, central management, and IT governance bodies.

Collaboration

Proven experience working cross‑functionally with Operations, IT, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 -7 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in management, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience.

• Prior experience in similar domain.
