Job Title: Application Production Support Engineer

Position Purpose
Part of BNPP Wealth Management in Chennai, the position is created to support production activities. Candidate will play a major role in handling Incidents, BAU service requests, Infra Maintenance activities and work in follow-the-sun mode
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
As a member of the APS team, the candidate will:
- Provide Application support to Front Office and Operations users.
- Ensure adherence to APS support roster in terms of mailbox, web portal and hotline.
- Ensure batch related issues are attended & resolved on time or escalated to your team leader on time.
- Adhere to Service Level objective target and roadmap
- Escalate timely to Head of APS on possible risks, escalation matters and management issues.
- Prioritize and deliver outstanding service, troubleshooting and resolving issues from Business teams
- Ensure that unresolved tickets are escalated to appropriate individuals/teams based on established guidelines and procedures
- Review and create application Support knowledge articles.
- Ensure that all the production deliverables are aligned with bank standards and best practices.
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with Application.
- Service monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement of the service quality and availability.
- Implement communication charter to provide updates on production health status on a proactive manner.
- Provide a high level of customer services and maintain customer trust and confidence by creating positive customer relationships and successfully contributing to business goals and objectives.
- Should take part in follow-the-sun production support (i.e Shifts/Weekend/Public holiday)

- Scheduling tools: AutoSys
- Scripting: Shell Scripting, Python, SQL, Ansible
- Production & Monitoring tools – Dynatrace or equivalent, Splunk
- Good understanding & experience Cloud Tech stack like Docker/Kubernetes, Ansible
- OS: Linux, Windows
- Middleware: Apache Kafka, MQ, AxWay File Transfer (CFT)
- Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
- Good written and oral communication skills
Specific Qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Application Production Support
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with a Cloud provider (IBM/AWS/Azure/Google)
