Application Production Support Specialist
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an Application Production Support Engineer – Private Capital to join our APS (Application Production Support) team. In this position you will be the first point of contact for users of several Private Capital applications, providing technical support and, when needed, functional guidance. The primary focus is on keeping the production environment stable, resolving incidents quickly, and ensuring seamless business operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and support daily production activities for Private Capital applications
- Diagnose and deliver high-level functional and technical support for application systems
- Analyse and resolve technical issues during production phases
- Manage performance-related incidents and process specific action requests (data processing, extractions, etc.)
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of systems and the Private Capital business area
- Maintain clear communication, accurate reporting and appropriate escalation to BAs, Devs, QA, and IT Engineers
- Prepare environments for releases and ensure that implementation and pre-production tests are carried out
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and understanding of PL/SQL code
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, including application management and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, and enterprise-level application troubleshooting
- Practical knowledge of ITIL best practices (incident, problem and change management)
- Knowledge in the area of Fund Industry, Transfer Agent, or Private Capital
- Excellent written and spoken English (mandatory)
- Analytical mindset – capable of handling performance-related issues and complex data requests
- Autonomous and able to lead investigations to resolution
- Client-focused – able to identify needs and deliver appropriate solutions
- Nice-to-have:
- Experience with specific systems: eFront FIA
- Knowledge of middleware and connectivity: WebSphere (WSTX) and MQ Series
- Knowledge of Terraform and familiarity with cloud-native architectures or managed cloud service environments
