The Latin America region is a key market for BNP Paribas. While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America, other major countries in the region are significant contributors for the business and for long standing relations with clients.
Long standing presence in Argentina. Since 1981 the group offers a wide range of banking, financial products designed for domestic and multinational clients.
CIB in Hispanic Latin America has world-class teams of roughly 400, thus ensuring an overall coverage of BNP Paribas’ client franchise in the region. Job Purpose

Application and user support
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution
- Provide level 1 and 2 support for applications, on-site
- Effectively escalate to development teams for level 3 support
- Create and maintain documentation
- Must be able to multitask and take ownership on multiple items until resolution
- Facilitate proper communication to the business users and clients
- Available on-call for after-hours support on a rotational basis
- Inbox monitoring and batch operations
- Answer internal client calls and requests
- Participate in incident management follow ups and resolutions
- Provide technical and functional support to all in-house applications.
- Actively participate in regional forums (English), to defend changes, incidents, etc.
- Will report hierarchically to the Argentine ITP Head, and functional to the Application Support Manager based in NAR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is a plus
- Understanding of the trade/banking process is a plus.
- Medium Linux scripting / development
- Medium SQL/Oracle skills
- Strong background using Microsoft products (Specifically Excel & Outlook)
- FTP, SFTP, FTPS, WGET file transfer setup knowledge
- Must be able to work as part of a team, use own initiative and be self-motivated
- Use of industry standard tools (Service Now/ITSM, Jira).
- Background in Autosys Job Scheduling
- Experience in Release Management is a plus
- Experience writing documentation
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to Understand, explain and support change
- Analytical Ability
- Ability to manage / facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, training
- Ability to set up relevant performance indicators
