About the role

As an Accountant you'll be joining an experienced and welcoming team based within the Swindon office. This role is a real chance to grow and build your knowledge in multiple finance areas, and develop your accountancy skills further in an environment that supports your growth and development.

Reporting to the Finance Manager responsible for Accounting for the revenue related to Arval’s products and services, you will take ownership for the delivery of a range of products and the associated financials. From reconciling and analysing large volumes of data and producing reports for the business to investigating any anomalies and variances; you will ensure all monthly tasks and journals are prepared accurately and posted within strict deadlines.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership for month end closing accounting processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaising with various areas of the business such as Global Operations, Sales and Remarketing to provide financial support
  • Working to deadlines and prioritising your own workload accordingly
  • Preparing and processing internal financial data to comply with internal governance and reporting standards

What we’re looking for

You'll have experience working in a Finance team within a large organisation and have a finance qualification or be working towards your professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/FCA). An excellent verbal and written communicator, you pride yourself on your ability to build relationships and work well under pressure, as well as being a team player with a proactive mindset.

Competent with Microsoft Excel, as well as ability to confidently use Pivot Tables, and Vlookup's, using it in your day-to-day work to a high standard.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • That you can use your initiative and be able to proactively fix or solve problems
  • Have attention detail to make sure all data is accurate
  • Be a self starter with a technical and methodical mindset

The package

We offer a basic starting salary of up to £33000, plus a bonus of up to £1,900.  We also offer 25 days holiday as standard, plus bank holidays, an extra day off for your birthday, and the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
