Thierry Marais is joining BNP Paribas as Head of the Banking and Specialized Financing sector within the Corporate Finance department directed by Thierry Varène. He will report to Alfonso Pallavicini, Head of the Financial Institutions division.
Thierry Marais, 40, a graduate from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (Rouen) and a member of the Société Française des Analystes Financiers, has been Head of the banking sector within the merger and acquisition department of Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothshild since 1995.
He was previously Deputy Manager of the merger and acquisition department in Banque Stern (1987-1995). Before that, he spent 3 years as a financial analyst at NSM and DAFSA.
