Thierry Lange joins BNP Paribas as Head of the Insurance sector within the Corporate Finance department directed by Thierry Varène. He will report to Alfonso Pallavicini, Head of the Financial Institutions division.
Thierry Lange, 34, ENA, Science Po graduated from the University of Paris IV in English and North American studies. He has been in charge of the Business and Insurance office in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry at the Direction du Trésor since August 1997. As a Financial Attaché (1995-97) at the permanent representative office in the European Union, he defended French interests in the areas of competition and state aid. Previously, he was in charge at the Direction du Trésor, of state shareholders interests for the public business sector of transport (1991 - 1993) and the public banking sector (1993 - 1995).
