Denis Laplane, head of corporate banking at BNP Paribas retail bank in France, and Alain Benon, general manager of the Banque du Développement des PME, signed an agreement intended to make government financing facilities more readily available to small and mid-size companies.
BNP Paribas and the BDPME have thereby agreed to join forces in proposing interim working capital loans to small and mid-size companies pending payments due from state and local government or public company and institutional customers.
The agreement endows BNP Paribas with decision-making authority on financing receivables ranging in amount from 61,000 to150,000 euros.
With this agreement, BNP Paribas and the Banque du Développement des PME confirm their commitment to help those companies at all stages of their development.
