Mrs Rajna Gibson Brandon was co-opted on 28 November 2018 at BNP Paribas’ Board of Directors, replacing Mrs Laurence Parisot. This decision will be submitted for ratification at the next Annual General Meeting.
Of Swiss nationality, Mrs Rajna Gibson Brandon has a PhD in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Geneva and was postdoctoral researcher at UCLA and New York University in the United States. She has a far-reaching academic and research career and taught Finance in particular at the universities of Geneva, Zurich and Lausanne and she has also been Head of Research at the Swiss Finance Institute. She set up the Geneva Finance Research Institute (GFRI) at the University of Genève and participated to the creation of the Foundation “Geneva Institute for Wealth Management“ of which she is also a member of the Board. She has been member of the Swiss Takeover Panel and of the Swiss Federal Banking Commission and director of Swiss Re from 2000 to 2018. She has been co-organising for some years The Geneva Summit on Sustainable Finance, which is a major annual conference in Europe on sustainable finance.
