Publication by the FSB of the 2017 list of gloal systemically important banks (G-SIB) - BNP Paribas' G-SIB Buffer from 2.0% to 1.5%

Published On 22.11.2017

The Financial Stability Board (FSB), in consultation with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) and national authorities, has published the 2017 list of global systemically important banks based on year-end 2016 data.

BNP Paribas’ G-SIB buffer requirement is reduced by 50 basis points to 1.5% from 1 January 2019, thus increasing by the same magnitude the Group’s room to manoeuvre over the regulatory requirements.

The Group maintains its target of 12% for the Basel3 Common Equity Tier 1 ratio in 2020.

The Group’s fully loaded Basel 3 Common Equity Tier 1 ratio stood at 11.8% at 30 September 2017.
