Frédéric Lavenir has been appointed CEO of CNP Assurances, the leading insurer of individuals in France. He joined BNP Paribas in 2001 to take the helm of the leasing activities. In 2007, he became a member of the BNP Paribas Group's Executive Committee in his capacity as Head of Group Human Resources.
Group Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Laurent Bonnafé, said “Frédéric contributed significantly to the development of BNP Paribas, the quality of the Group's management practices and employment environment, as well as to the successful integration of Fortis. I would like to express my sincere thanks and wish him all the best for his new job”.
When he announced his departure, Frédéric Lavenir said “The 12 years I have spent at BNP Paribas have been a really great experience for me, both at the professional and personal level. I am proud to have worked for a company capable of reconciling ethics and economic performance so remarkably on a daily basis”.
Frédéric Lavenir's successor will be appointed shortly.
