This award recognises the excellent performance by a sub-fund of the Parvest range of benchmark open-end mutual funds offered by BNP Paribas Asset Management. It is also a major success for the Company, which decided to develop teams of investment managers in the world's major financial centres, having direct relations with the local markets.
Organised for the third consecutive year in association with Europerformance and Edhec, the Agefi Grands Prix are awarded to the French and COB-authorised foreign open-end mutual funds and investment funds that have achieved the best performances over the last three years. The awards are granted on the basis of performance analysis by management style and an assessment of the manager's skills.
Parvest Asian Convertible Bond is managed on the basis of research generated by the Asian equity teams and the investment strategy developed by BNP Paribas Asset Management. The sub-fund is aimed at investors wishing to profit from opportunities on the equity markets whilst limiting the volatility of such investments.
"Parvest Asian Convertible Bond strikes an excellent balance between bond yields and equity exposure. Its excellent performances have been a major factor in its commercial success this year, particularly as there are few funds of this type on the market" according to Marc Raynaud, Global Head of mutual funds distribution at BNP Paribas Asset Management. He adds, "more generally, this award recognises the skills of our specialised managers, who are experts in their respective markets". The structure of BNP Paribas Asset Management, based on combining centralised management with local teams, ensures that funds are adapted to the particularities of their markets.
Earlier in the year, Parvest Asian Convertible Bond also received an award for its performance over a one-year period from Germany's Finanzen Magazine.
