L’Atelier the company spearheading digital transformation and innovation within the BNP Paribas Group for over 35 years, celebrates a decade in the US on December 3rd, 2015.
Based in San Francisco, L'Atelier BNP Paribas’ US bureau tracks disruptive innovation in Silicon Valley and the United States. Its analysts have been tracking Silicon Valley innovation, to be on top of most of this entrepreneurial scene, tech trends, new consumer behaviors and local tech culture. The team has been advising companies and helping them understand how technological innovation will change their businesses.
The anniversary event will feature a panel discussion on “Are you ready for 2025?” that will honor six startups currently developing innovations that will strongly influence the way we all live in the next 10 years - Galvanize (digital working); Drust (smart mobility); Cosmo (data/smart city); Augmented Pixel (Future of retail); TransferTo (Fintech) and Human Life (e-health) and ArtTech demos, embracing innovation through creativity, play, and collaboration between artists and technologists.
Olivier Dulac, Chaiman of L’Atelier BNP Paribas, Louis Treussard, CEO and his deputy Philippe Torres will attend from Paris and will join Nathalie Doré, CEO L’Atelier US, for the innovative and original presentation.
“Throughout the years, we have developed solutions to fit our clients’ needs,” said Nathalie Doré. “Ten years ago, our role was to translate digital trends. We then developed a whole advisory group to help BNP Paribas, Bank of the West and their clients to grow their digital and innovation strategies. Last April, a FinTech Lab was added to connect the bank, clients and startups in order to gauge several innovation scenarios.”
“With our offices in Paris, San Francisco & Shanghai, our vision and extensive experience in understanding the digital economy, we are strategically placed to help the BNP Paribas Group and its clients in their digital transformation. Our main areas of focus are Retail, FinTech, eHealth, Transportation, Smart Cities and Employee Experience, all industries where the excessively rapid adoption of technologies disrupt traditional business models,” said Louis Treussard.
Innovation according to BNP Paribas, the bank for a changing world
At BNP Paribas, to be innovative means creating a new type of banking relationship and inventing the Bank of Tomorrow. A bank that is both physical and digital, combining the best of both worlds – new ways of interacting provided by the social networks, new services linked to mobility, the digital transformation and process-simplification. At BNP Paribas, to be innovative means anticipating the changes that are affecting our customers and turning these changes into opportunities. BNP Paribas is determined to draw on collective intelligence – externally, by practicing co-construction of products and services with our customers and by forging partnerships with startups and other innovative companies, and through in-house creativity as well. Proof of this is to be found in the results of the BNP Paribas Innovation Awards, which highlight innovative initiatives devised by Group staff, and also in the work of L’Atelier BNP Paribas, a Group unit whose mission is to help both the Bank and client companies to make a success of their digital transformation.
