France competes against Serbia in Belgrade in the 2010 Final of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas

The French tennis team is preparing to compete against the Serbian team in the final of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas on 4, 5 and 6 December at the Belgrade Arena.

BNP Paribas has sponsored the Davis Cup since 2001 and has recently extended its partnership until 2016. This prestigious competition, which is watched by 1 billion television viewers, attracts competitors from 122 countries, communicates a powerful message for the Group. “As the premier global sponsor of tennis, BNP Paribas has had an exceptional and close relationship with this sport for more than 37 years. Since its partnership in 1973 with Roland Garros, the relationship with this sport has grown as BNP Paribas has expanded throughout the world. Therefore, the Group became an official partner of the Shanghai Masters in 2010. The signing of the partnership with the ITF in 2001, making BNP Paribas the title sponsor of the legendary Davis Cup, was a watershed for our global strategy of tennis partnerships,” said Antoine Sire, Head of Brand, Communications and Quality for BNP Paribas.

The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas provides an opportunity to convey the Group's strong values, including team spirit, boldness and excelling oneself, in all the regions where BNP Paribas is present. BNP Paribas has been present in Serbia since 2006 through its subsidiary Findomestic Banka. In 2008, the Group expanded its local activities in real estate through the alliance of BNP Paribas Real Estate with Danos & Associates. (Danos & Associates provides a complete range of real estate services.)
