Fabio Gallia, CEO and Chairman of BNL, Chairman of Findomestic and a member of the BNP Paribas Executive Commitee, is to become Head of the BNP Paribas Group in Italy with effect from 1 May 2012.
Following the departure of Nicola d'Anselmo, who is leaving the Group to pursue other interests, Filippo Boria, currently Head of Corporate Finance for BNP Paribas in Italy, has been appointed Head of the Italian subsidiary of BNP Paribas SA. In this role he will report to Fabio Gallia. In addition, as Head of BNP Paribas' Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division in Italy, Mr Boria will report to Thierry Varène, who is a member of the BNP Paribas CIB Executive Committee.
These appointments are intended to strengthen cooperation between the various BNP Paribas businesses in Italy in order to provide all Group clients with an optimal range of superior banking products and services.
