BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Martin as Head of BNP Paribas in Germany. He replaces Dr. Michel von Aufschnaiter, 63, who retired from the management to become Senior Advisor of the bank.
Eric Martin, 48, joins from BNP Paribas Tokyo where he had been a member of the management being responsible for the successful integration of the activities of BNP and Paribas after the merger.
Prior to that he was responsible for the strategy of the bank in America after he had worked as Head of Capital Markets in New York. Previous to that he was Head of Origination and Syndication for the French Bond Market in Paris.
Eric Martin started his carreer within BNP in 1975 working several years with BNP Capital Markets in London.
