e-cortal, partner of Invertia Terra Networks for online Trading in spain

e-cortal and Invertia, the financial portal for Terra Networks, have formed a partnership so individual Spanish investors can now place their orders directly on 9 international stock markets through e-cortal


e-cortal, the first online broker in France has just concluded a partnership deal with Invertia, the leading Spanish financial portal. From 26 June 2000, Invertia users will be able to open an account at e-cortal with direct access to its trading site,
www.e-cortal.com and place orders on 9 European and North American stock markets. During a subsequent phase, e-cortal will offer Invertia clients the option of also accessing its wide range of investments including notably, investment funds and warrants.

Invertia is a financial portal of Terra Networks, the main Internet access provider in Spanish and Portuguese, used by more than 75% of Spanish Internet navigators (134 million pages visited in March 2000).

The Invertia.com site offers a complete panoply of information, analysis and recommendations on international markets in real time - to help individual investors make the right decisions. In March 2000, there were over 105,000 registered users and 75,000 personalised portfolios (21.2 million Invertia pages were visited in March 2000).

e-cortal, the online broker of Cortal bank, offers European private investors direct access to 9 European and North American stock markets from a single site: www.e-cortal.com. Orders at market prices cost a flat rate of 15 euros up to 5,000 euros and 0.3% over this figure. At the end of May 2000, e-cortal had 111,000 accounts in Europe, of which 79,000 on line.

The mission of Cortal is to help European individuals build and manage their savings. Customers are given access to services covering all mutual funds and principle stock markets. A company of BNP Paribas, Cortal boasted 508,000 clients at the end of May 2000. e-cortal is the online broking arm of Cortal and boasted 111,000 accounts at the end of May 2000.
