Today, the private wealth management market is facing major changes, particularly regulatory ones, and has significant growth prospects for the coming years. Certain segments enjoy higher-than-average market growth, such as those of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (+7.2% per year versus 6% for the overall market*) and Independent Wealth Managers (including tiers gérants, IFA's and multi-family offices). In this context, BNP Paribas Wealth Management wishes to strengthen its specific approach to these segments through a dedicated team and appoints Rémi Frank as head of the UHNWI and Independent Wealth Managers segments.
Rémi Frank was previously Head of Equity Derivatives Sales & Structuring for Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and a member of CIB's Global Equities & Commodities Derivatives Executive Committee.
The system put in place for these two priority segments is part and parcel of the business line's governance structure change announced in July 2010, the team dedicated to UHNWI and Independent Wealth Managers accompanying the development of the five geographical clusters (Asia-Pacific, Euro Domestic Markets, New Domestic Markets, International Europe and Luxembourg).
Rémi Frank becomes a member of the BNP Paribas Wealth Management Executive Committee, joining Jacques d'Estais (CEO), Mignonne Cheng** (Head of Asia-Pacific), Marie-Claire Capobianco (Head of Domestic Markets), Pascal Boris** (Head of Europe International), Patrice Crochet (Head of Luxembourg), Olivier Maugarny (Head of Products & Services) and Vincent Lecomte (COO).
Jacques d'Estais stated: “Given the importance of UHNWI and Independent Wealth Managers in a rapidly changing market, it is essential to strengthen our approach to these segments. Close cooperation with CIB will be one of the keys to the success of their development. Rémi Frank possesses many skills for accomplishing this, particularly his experience of over 20 years with CIB.”
