Hashtag #YourJob, an initiative designed to put job seekers in touch with recruiters, will take pride of place on Twitter on Thursday 19 May.
In 2015 the virtual Job Fair generated over 70,000 tweets #YourJob, over 30,000 of them in France, with 1,100 mentioning BNP Paribas. This helped to raise the profile of BNP Paribas in a year in which the Group is recruiting close to 3,000 permanent staff in France and 20,000 worldwide.
Throughout the event BNP Paribas Human Resources teams will refresh the @bnpp_recrut account with tweets about job opportunities, including permanent jobs, sandwich-course opportunities and other positions, plus information on recruitment issues and answers to applicants’ questions, with a special feature from 2.30 to 4pm showcasing our Recruitment Day on 21 May at the Roland Garros tennis stadium.
The #YourJob initiative is an essential part of BNP Paribas strategy. “BNP Paribas has put a great deal of effort into Twitter for a number of years now. In addition to recruitment events we run or participate in on the microblogging site – #WeLoveIT, #JointheTeam, and of course #YourJob 2015 – Twitter meets our need for interactivity and spontaneity in our relationship with job applicants,” explained Béatrice Perrot, BNP Paribas Deputy Head of Recruitment, France.
In addition to Twitter and various other social networks that BNP Paribas uses for recruitment, job applicants can contact job experts on the Backstage site, benefit from the advice of Dr Job, and discover the diverse range of businesses and career opportunities at the Group using a special guide – see below.
Last but not least, BNP Paribas is throwing its full weight behind the international dimension of this online Jobs event: all Group subsidiaries will be participating, and Group establishments in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey and Italy will take part in the Twitter initiative with dedicated hashtags, such as #JobFair in English.
Every year BNP Paribas recruits many highly talented people. In 2016, BNP Paribas plans to recruit some 3,000 permanent staff, 2,000 sandwich course participants and 1,100 interns in France, plus 260 people on overseas internships all over the world. BNP Paribas follows the basic principle of recruiting staff for the long term. Accordingly, BNP Paribas provides individual career management, with each employee receiving support and assistance from a dedicated HR team throughout his/her career, job moves and new directions. The Bank also runs highly specific employee development and advanced skills programmes. Given the wide variety of job profiles across the Group, many of our employees are able to build a varied career based on frequent job changes within a particular business line or department, between business lines/departments and/or moves to other geographical locations.
