BNP Paribas supports Neighbours' Day and offers a "Neighbours' Coffee" in more than 2,200 branches across Europe

Published On 23.05.2011

For the fifth year in a row, Paribas is offering a "Neighbours' Coffee" in more than 1,400 branches in France, and 2,200 branches across Europe on 28th and 29th of May. For the first time, the "Neighbours' Coffee" will be launched across the Group's four domestic markets: France, Italy, Belgium and Luxembourg. It will also be launched simultaneously in Poland. In total, nearly 75,000 customers and neighbours are expected this year.

BNP Paribas is renewing its partnership with the association "Immeubles en Fête", which has initiated the Neighbours' day. This event is the largest citizens' gathering in France and across Europe, amounting up to 10 million participants last year. The Neighbours' Day, which is an opportunity to meet its neighbourhood, will take place on May 27th in more than 32 countries. This event supports values, which are key to a banker's activities, such as: ability to listen, proximity and social bonding. To better serve these values, the bank is naturally receptive to such informal exchanges, which enable to better adjust to the urban environments in which its networks operate.

BNP Paribas will support this event with the "Neighbours' Coffee". Its customers and neighbours will be offered a coffee and a croissant in its branches. In total, more than 2,200 branches will participate in France, Italy (via BNL) beginning of June, Belgium (via FINTRO - BNP Paribas Group), Luxembourg (via BGL BNP Paribas) and Poland (via BNP Paribas Bank Polska SA).

As a local actor, BNP Paribas wishes to take advantage of these coffee events by creating an opportunity for its neighbours, neighbouring professionals, young people or pensioners, to meet the branches' teams.

As a responsible corporate citizen, BNP Paribas acts in solidarity with the countries in which it is based. Local values are key for BNP Paribas, such as creating bonds in a building, in a local community, helping people to get together.
