The merger process between BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA
and Fortis Banque (Suisse) SA
, begun in autumn 2009, has ended with the acquisition of the latter by BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA on 25 May 2010.
All clients of Fortis Banque (Suisse) SA are now eligible for the quality services of BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA and the efforts of all of its employees.
BNP Paribas has been present in Switzerland since 1872, and is now one of the major foreign banks in the country. It is the global leader in the financing of raw materials and the most important foreign bank in the issuance of obligations in Swiss francs (behind two Swiss banks). Its position in asset management has been reinforced by this merger, with CHF 47 billion in assets being managed.Press Release in Italian
