BNP Paribas is pleased to announce three further hires to its European equity sales platform.
Glyn James joins the firm as UK Head of European Equity Sales reporting to Tim Draper, Global Head of European Equity Sales. Glyn joins from Lehman Brothers where he was a Senior European Equity Salesman, selling to UK institutions. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Glyn was at UBS from 1992 to 1997. Before that he was a European equities portfolio manager at AXA Equity & Life. Glyn has a degree in economics from the London School of Economics.
Pedro Guinea joins the Madrid office as Head of Equity Sales for Spain reporting to Tim Draper. He joins the firm from Deutsche Bank where he worked from 1996 as a European equities salesman to Spanish institutional clients. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Pedro worked at MEFF (Spanish derivatives market), firstly as an institutional salesman and later as an Assistant Director of the Institutional Sales division. Pedro obtained a B.A Degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Louis, Missouri in 1990.
Nigel Carter joins the firm to co-ordinate the firm's business with UK-based hedge funds reporting to Tim Draper. Nigel joins from WestLB where he was Head of European equity sales to global institutions. Prior to that he was at Société Général as Deputy Head of European Sales. Nigel also worked as a senior salesman at ABN Amro selling European equities to UK institutions.
