BNP Paribas will complete the restructuring process of its organisation undertaken a year and half ago when it introduced Senior Bankers and a client-driven organisation.
While the role of Senior Bankers -who report to Thierry Varène (also Global Head of Corporate Finance)- is reaffirmed, the client coverage teams will be integrated and the financing business lines will be simplified:
- Corporates and Financial Institutions will regroup coverage of large corporates and financial institutions.
Eric Lombard, formerly Head of FIG (Financial Institutions Group) and Jean-Pierre Bernard, formerly in charge of Corporate Banking within Corporate and Investment Banking, are appointed respectively Global Head and Deputy Head of Corporates and Financial Institutions.
- Jean-Daniel Wurtz, formerly Head of Large Corporates within Corporate and Investment Banking, is appointed Head of Corporates within domestic Retail Banking.
Michel Konczaty, who presently manages the Structured Finance business, will also have responsibility for aircraft and shipping financing. This business line will also handle the corporate banking loan portfolio.
- The Energy and Commodities business line, the Export Finance and Project Finance businesses will be grouped together in a single unit managed by Dominique Rémy, currently in charge of the Energy and Commodities business.
- Jacques Desponts, formerly in charge of International Trade, has been named Senior Executive Vice President within Corporate and Investment Banking, in charge of international projects.
