BNP Paribas Securities Services: named as "Europe's number one global custodian"

Results released by the custodian banking industry's leading independent publication, Global Custodian, in their Annual Global Custody Survey 2001, has seen BNP Paribas Securities Services named as "Europe's Top Global Custodian."

This key industry survey measures the quality of custodian banking institutions in terms of Client Service, Reporting, Technology and the provision of Value-Added Services, and is compiled using the direct responses of users of custodian banking services.

First time Survey entrants, BNP Paribas Securities Services "win" is "largely due to large and ongoing investment in personnel and systems technology", according to Michel Laurent, Head of European Investor Services (EIS) for BNP Paribas Securities Services. "These results clearly demonstrate our unique approach to the provision of Global Custody services across Europe. Our ambitious plans to achieve rapid growth is in parallel with our commitment to continue to provide clients with a consistently high level of service excellence." The EIS products and services group of BNP Paribas Securities Services has experienced a growth rate of 70 per cent in the past two years.

"Our clients place a great deal of importance upon the presence of our local market specialists in each of the locations where we offer our services in Europe," continues Michel Laurent.
