BNP Paribas Securities Services is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Barcelona, Spain. This is part of the Bank's strategy and commitment to expanding its geographical presence and broadening its service offering. The move further consolidates BNP Paribas Securities Services as one of the leading players in the Spanish market.
The office in Barcelona is another important step in providing tailor-made clearing and custody solutions in the Spanish market as well as strengthening our “on the ground” presence to stay even closer to our clients.
BNP Paribas Securities Services will leverage its experience and expertise in Spain to service an increasing number of Spanish institutional investors and asset managers based in Barcelona. In addition to custody and settlement related services, we will also offer outsourcing services related to investment operations depositary bank services for mutual and pension funds.

Coming from Fortis and taking advantage from his previous presence in Barcelona, Lluis Morral has been appointed sales and relationship manager for BNP Paribas Securities Services for the Catalunya region. Lluis has 20 years of experience in Fortis Gesbeta S.G.I.I.C.,S.A. (Fortis Group) providing services with Spanish clients. He will be part of the BNP Paribas Securities Services Client Development team in Spain.
